March 1, 2008 - Jay Weygandt appointed Software Applications Manager
(NASHVILLE, TN) --- Integra Interactive announces the appointment of veteran retailer Jay Weygandt as Software Applications Manager effective April 1. For 30 years, Jay Weygandt served as President and General Manager of Logos Bookstore in Springfield, Ohio. During his tenure the store grew from $67,000 to $1,250,000 in annual sales. In 2002 Weygandt received the Jim Carlson Christian Bookstore Manager of the Year award. He also has served on numerous advisory boards and committees in the CBA industry. In the 1980s Weygandt was a faculty member with the American Booksellers Association and has taught at numerous national and regional conventions and schools. He also taught bookselling and technology in Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. For many years Weygandt served on the Logos Association Board of Directors in all capacities including Board President. As a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church he serves as an adult Sunday School teacher. He has also held positions as President of the congregation and Chairman of the Staff and Long Range Planning Committees. “This is a new position that Integra created for Jay,” explained David Amster, Chief Innovation Officer for Integra Interactive. “He and I began discussing opportunities to work together at the 2007 ICRS Show. Jay’s highly regarded experience with training store personnel on various point-of-sale systems coupled with his knowledge of store operations and longtime use of Integra shopper touchpoint stations seemed quite intriguing.” Weygandt’s responsibilities will include assisting retailers in maximizing their benefits of Integra’s shopper touchpoint systems and shepherding the development of new software applications. “I am pleased to be working with Integra Interactive,” said Weygandt.
