May 27, 2008 - myMEDIA BurnBar Adds Word Entertainment Catalog
(NASHVILLE, TN) --- In conjunction with the May 27 first year anniversary of the launch of myMEDIA BurnBar™ Integra Interactive announces the signing of a digital distribution contract with Warner Music Group for the Word Entertainment catalog. This contract expands the selection of artist songs which already includes EMI CMG artists and over 600 indie artist CDs. Users of myMEDIA BurnBar can burn either the full album or select songs ala carte from different artists to create a custom mix CD. “We now have over 3,100 artist CDs and over 8,000 accompaniment track titles available to burn,” said David Amster, Chief Innovation Officer for Integra Interactive. We also recently began burning nearly 400 audio book titles and will begin burning a selection of video games and software titles in the next few weeks.” During its first year in operation myMEDIA BurnBar has digitally delivered over 89,000 CDs to customers. Over 280 retailers have now purchased myMEDIA BurnBar making it the number two deplorer of retail burning kiosks worldwide behind mix&burn. “We hit another milestone in March when one of our stores, Pee Dee Christian Supply in Florence, SC, burned 677 CDs,” stated Amster. “As far as we have been able to determine from web-research, this is the largest number any store has done specifically for retail customers. They consistently burn at least 500 CDs every month. We recently expanded Pee Dee’s system’s ability to burn up to six CDs or DVDs at one time.” One of the unique features of the shopper touchpoint screen introduced in April enables users to select custom front cover art for their custom mix CD. In addition to general interest art images there are also covers for special occasions such as birthdays and weddings and seasonal times such as Father’s Day and Graduation. A custom message of up to 200 characters can also be added to the cover.
